Yes. Clerion is built to adhere to FERPA from the ground up. Student records are accessed only through your school’s Canvas, only with your school’s approval, and they’re used for one purpose: powering your own view. We never sell student data.
We build to industry security standards and are pursuing SOC 2 Type 2 certification. Your data is encrypted, access is limited to only what’s needed, and every school’s data is kept separate from every other school’s.
Only the course data Canvas already holds for you: grades, assignments, deadlines, syllabus files, and announcements, pulled through Canvas’s official connection. Nothing outside your coursework.
AI does the reading, not the deciding. When it reads your syllabi and announcements, everything it concludes keeps a link back to where it came from, so you can check it yourself. Your grade math never touches AI: Clerion works it out from your course’s real grading rules. AI never invents a number.
Yes. We’re an Instructure Integrated Tier Partner and 1EdTech members pursuing its certifications, building on the same standards your school already relies on.
Right now, yes. Clerion is built around Canvas first, and it’s in the process of being extended to other platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Brightspace, so more campuses can plug in.
We’re rolling out school by school. Join the waitlist to move your campus up the list, hear first, and get founding-student perks when it goes live.
